BeamNG.drive Freeroam: West Coast, USA -1953 Burnside Special Lead sled

A 1953 Burnside Special that has been chopped and channeled using the old-fashioned method of cutting springs, cutting the roof line down, and re-welding it. "Lead sled" is a style of aftermarket hot rod body panels. "Lead" refers to how molten lead was used as a body filler to rebuild panels. "sled" refers to the lowering of the vehicle. It is widely believed that these are the precursors to low riders. [citation needed] The point is to make the car look as smooth as possible. So, to further accent this style, the panels of this Burnside are painted silver and anodized to give it a chrome look. (It is imperative to start with a glossy black as any imperfections will show in the final coating) It is a pretty cool street-legal hot rod, but it is very dangerous to drive as hot rods typically are. Don't worry about the crash. These old panels would rather bend than break. They can be rolled back into shape in no time.
