What an amazing and inspiring experience to get to see so many talented horse and rider combinations in person! Our Rider Position Lecture was also a huge success with around 200 participants attending! It was so much fun to get to do a live lecture where I could finally get to meet so many of you in person! It was heartwarming to hear all your stories and how I have been a part of your riding journey. Getting to meet all of you was truly the best part of the trip to World Cup. I’m so thankful that we have such a wonderful community supporting Dressage for All! This week, I’ll be sharing the recording from the lecture at World Cup! We also had two special guests during the lecture, and if you haven’t seen the interviews with Steffen and Anna, I've included that link too. Rider position is SO important for so many reasons. If you were there in person or watching online, did you pay attention to how well all the riders used their seats? I did, and it’s so amazing to see how connected they are with their horses! They look like centaurs! For me, my goal is to be able to ride that well someday. We’re all at different stages and we all have different goals, but rider position is important for all of us to focus on, and we’re all constantly working on improving it! Not only does a good rider position help you stay secure in the saddle, but it also allows you to really follow your horse and stay connected, which helps you have better communication with your horse. This all translates into better, more enjoyable rides! So, without further ado, let’s get into the lecture! We’ll be talking all about your seat and each part of your position, how much you should use each aid, what a good vs. poor position looks and feels like, how a good position helps your riding, and more! Plus, we have live demos and volunteers! I hope you enjoy this recording, and if you would like to learn more about how you can improve your rider position, be sure to save your seat for my FREE Rider Position Webinar on Sunday, April 23rd, at 12pm PT! We will also be talking more about my Rider Position Challenge that is coming up soon! Stay tuned! Happy Riding, Amelia
