UPDATE: Gapps (google apps) or extras are no longer necessary since it comes on the nook. if you just want the look of a stock android tablet get a launcher from the playstore...Rooting is to flash a totally new rom via sites like xda forums. The video was on the old pre-google play being factory installed. There have been a few updates to the procedure that are not mentioned in the video but are shown on the thread in the link above.
