UNDER THE POLYNESIAN SKY 3

Oh Polynesia, land of light, Your tiki gardens gleam so bright, The pahu beats, a wild heart’s fire, The tamure moves with gods’ desire, And vahinés crowned with tiare bloom. Beneath the Polynesian sky, The lagoons sing soft lullabies, Old legends dance upon the waves, The tamure wakes the ancient graves, The toe’re calls the spirits near, Vahinés in bloom beneath the palms appear. Hear the toe’re whisper low, Through the night where sacred fires glow, Silent tikis guard the shore, The pahu’s tale forevermore. Oh islands born of flame and lore, Where vahinés laugh by coconut shores. Beneath the Polynesian sky, The lagoons sing soft lullabies, Old legends dance upon the waves, The tamure wakes the ancient graves, The toe’re calls the spirits near, Vahinés in bloom beneath the palms appear. The tiki gardens guard our dreams, The pahu beats in endless streams, The sea still sings our tales untold, In starlit winds, the nights unfold. On waves of blue the canoes glide, Carrying our hopes to the other side.
