Mallory Swanson returned to the field on May 16 for the first time in over 18 months after giving birth in November. Swanson's return is incredible news in her personal journey and a welcome sign for the USWNT just over a year before the 2027 World Cup. The Chicago Stars will rejoice, too, as they try to climb out of last place in the NWSL. But it also isn't fair for the Stars to ask Swanson to do everything like they have in the past.
