A short windshield tour of Star Valley, Arizona.

Here is another of my windshield tour series....this time we're in Star Valley, Arizona, just east of Payson. Star Valley is home to a lot of the area's service-type businesses, as well as most of the area's RV parks and such. Although it is a separate incorporated town, many of Star Valley's municipal services, including Police protection, are provided by the Town of Payson through various contracts and service agreements. Star Valley was named after one of the original settlers, Walter Starr, who operated a ranch there. Eventually the second "R" was dropped from the name, although some long-time residents would like to see it return, and to call the community Starr Valley....
