Flipside 2026 continues to deliver something amazing, and this week we were treated to the physical comedy duo all the way from Japan: Gabez! 🎪✨ 💡 Fun Fact: Did you know that their group name was originally derived from the word "Garbage"? They changed it to Gabez to give it a cooler, punchier edge. But truth be told, if you were in the audience at the Esplanade DBS Theatre today, I think we can all collectively agree that their talent is anything but garbage! They are an absolutely brilliant, high-energy, and deeply enjoyable fun and humorous duo that are true to themselves and humble. Watching them is like watching some Anime, Bugs Bunny or even Tom & Jerry kind of logic coming to real life right before your eyes! 🇯🇵💥 Their physical precision, intricate body control, and pure comedic timing are completely out of this world. It’s truly amazing how they can command an open stage and making a show using absolutely nothing but mime, exaggerated facial expressions, action and physical activities. The crowd energy at the Esplanade waterfront was unmatched tonight. Had an absolute blast laughing along with them until the sun set. What a lovely, perfect evening!
