【パリ】菊満開のリュクサンブール公園｜マロニエの落葉の詩情

Chrysanthemums were in full bloom in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris at the end of October. Children play with small boats in the pond in the center of the garden. In the shade of the colorful chestnut trees, you can enjoy a beautiful autumn afternoon. While I was walking in this garden where the dead leaves were beginning, a passage from "Chanson d'automne" by Paul Verlaine came to my mind. This poem appears to have been written by Paul Verlaine at a young age in his early twenties. The famous opening passage seems to relate deeply to the historical facts used as cryptography for the French during WWII, but for me as a Japanese woman, a wonderful translation of Bin UEDA comes to mind. As I walked on the carpet of fallen leaves in the garden, I hummed this Japanese translation of the poem. This colorful season makes people poetic, doesn't it?
