TAMBDI SURLA TEMPLE, GOA

An Ancient Temple Found in Forest of Goa, its a Mahadev Temple built by Kadamb Dynesty in 12 - 13 century. This remarkable Shiva temple is located in the dense forests of the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, about 12 kilometers from Mollem. Made of black basalt stone, this structure is one of the few ancient temples in Goa that survived the Mughal and Portuguese invasions because it was hidden in the jungle.
