We had a matchup in the SGV/LBC area as the Downey Vikings took on the Dominguez Dons in a game that was controlled from start to finish by the Vikings!!! Downey came out the gates leaning on the run game and it paid off early. They moved the ball with authority, set the tone physically, and never let Dominguez settle in. On the other side, the Dons offense struggled to get going on their opening possessions and couldn’t find the rhythm they needed. The Vikings kept applying pressure and continued to pound the rock all night long. Jacob Trevizu was the star, carrying the offense with 3 touchdowns and looking unstoppable on the ground every time he touched the ball. With Downey’s defense playing at an elite level and locking up the Dons from start to finish, they closed the night with a shutout to cap off a dominant performance.
