A perfect wild camping spot on top of Old Winchester hill on the 14 mile mark was much needed, we did this hike during a heatwave with temperatures around 30c. It was tough going with very little shade. This part of the south downs way takes us through Cheesefoot Hill, Beacon Hill and Butser Hill.
