Land – Que m’offriras-tu ? (Cé a chuirfidh tú liom)

For our beloved Eleo... « Que m’offriras-tu ? », is our french translation of a traditionnal irish folk ballad called « Cé a chuirfidh tú liom », or « dúlsaí dolsaí daéireo ». It’s originally sung by young girls knitting or spinning together. Each girl would sing a verse, asking a question, and the respondent would reply with the name of a favourite boy, and so on. It tells the story of a young girl who wants to know the name of her beloved. By the way : « dúlsaí dolsaí daéireo » means nothing ; it's the equivalent of singing « la di da da » or « falalala » in English ; it's just a filler to make the song flow nicely.
