Pacific Northwest Angel Flight from Medford to Burns in a Diamond DA42 VI
Episode 2 – Departing a Very Snowy Burns Airport and Multiple Vectors into Seattle Important – This video is for entertainment only. It is not intended for instruction and should not be used for any training purpose. In January, I was scheduled to fly a passenger for Angel Flight West from Medford, OR to Burns, OR. The passenger was travelling on to Boise, ID and a second pilot was flying the leg from Burns to Boise. This was a compassion flight. The passenger was travelling to Boise to care for a family member going through cancer treatment. This video focuses on my flight from Burns (KBNO) in Central Oregon back home to Renton (KRNT) in Seattle. The majority flight was in beautiful, chilly VFR winter conditions. Burns had a lot of snow to navigate at the airport but after departing we had a very nice flight back to Seattle. Similarly to our approach into Medford earlier in the day, we had a lot of vectors coming into the Seattle area. If you missed it, please check out Episode 1 which includes the flight from Renton down to Medford to pick up the Angel Flight Passenger. For more information on Angel Flight West, please check out angelflightwest.org. If you are a pilot and have your own plane or have access to a rental (either is fine!) please consider signing up. The organization is always looking for qualified new pilots: www.angelflightwest.org I hope you enjoy the video.
