ACE AF1 Inverted Hollow Trucks Review Polished (3 Months)
I skated the ACE AF1 Inverted Kingpin Hollow Trucks for 3 months at the time of uploading this video, however it's been a few more months for me since this will be uploaded. I'm a SUPER FAN now of at least this Truck from ACE, I have yet to try their others but will likely enjoy those as well. These however I again love. For this limited review I skated lots of park AND STREET to make sure I at least go the best of both worlds. Full review will be coming in due time. It's pretty hard to mess up a skateboard truck that's not low budget so I didn't expect these to be bad, I didn't expect to love them tho! Actually I did based on the marketing claims and the technological insight loaded up on these. So long as they delivered it was a EASY call, especially since I'm not too picky about my trucks, so long as they turn when I need them too I'm good. There was the potential for the geometry of the trucks to be off, but the actual design, build quality, and structure, I had no doubts about. Again that is the easier bar to clear when operating at a surface level standard, let alone an advanced one. This was my first pair of ACE trucks and will not be my last. These are quite pricey I will say but WORTH every penny as of now. I will for sure still have to see how they last long term, I usually get a year out of my trucks before the Kingpin or something breaks. I shall see how these hold up in the coming months. I like the way they grind, they are smooth and operate with zero hesitancy from what I've grinned so far. The kingpin being inverted only helped with that and of course did prevent the dreaded hang ups that a traditional kingpin that's not lowered will bring. I do have to replace the bushings I will say, more so the most impacted or where most my weight is, the back one. The front was still in tact and good to go, but the back one is CHEWED up I will say. So I've got some harder ACE bushings to try out and see how that fairs and if it last me longer! That aside I typically BUST bushings so this isn't a surprise to me and they have gotten me far. They still work, it's just if I land extra hard or high with impact I will have to tighten it back up again by a half turn or so. I'm impressed by these trucks, I've never been more excited and impressed by a truck in my life. The amount of technological advancement in these is beyond insane and not just some marketing Hoop-la. Everything it features is there with a purpose and serving its purpose.
