And the fact that we need that label at all says everything about where publishing is right now. In this video I break down what the certification actually is, why it's well-intentioned but probably not enough, and then get into the New York Times exposé about a woman who published over 200 AI-generated romance novels in eight months, made six figures doing it, doesn't disclose any of it to readers, and is actively teaching others to do the same.
