He began playing the Japanese drum at age six and the marimba at age nine. After graduating from Kyoto Municipal Music High School (now Kyoto Municipal Kyoto Horikawa Music High School), he entered the Faculty of Music at Kyoto City University of Arts. He studied percussion and marimba under Yuriko Onishi, Mutsuko Taneya, Akemiko Ito, Hitoshi Takuma, and Takeshi Yamamoto. He won the Grand Prize in the Percussion A Division at the 9th Kobe International Student Music Competition, as well as the Hyogo Prefectural Governor's Award. He also won the Kyoto Mayor's Award in the Music Division at the 18th Kyoto Art Festival. She was selected as a member of the 14th Japan-Germany Youth Exchange Concert team and performed throughout Germany. She was selected for the contemporary music performance competition "Kyogaku IX." She won second place in the marimba division of the 28th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. She also won second place in the marimba division of the 31st Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. She gave solo recitals at the Aoyama Music Memorial Hall in Kyoto in 2011, 2012, and 2016. She received the 2012 Aoyama Music Award New Artist Award. In 2014, she was selected as the top prize winner out of all participants in a concerto collaboration workshop with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra in Bulgaria. In solo recitals, she focuses on performing contemporary works, including new premieres, and is particularly skilled at performing works by Japanese composers.
