Local CN Train Going into Yard, Conductor Removed EOT, Signal Changing – Busy Day at Coteau (Part 7)

TRACKSIDE ADVENTURES Local CN Train Arriving and Reversing into the Main Yard, Conductor Removed EOT, Signal Changing – Busy Day at Coteau – October 1, 2021 (Part 7) In Part 7, a busy day at Coteau Junction continues with a longer than usual CN L589 arriving at Coteau on the Alexandria Sub from Ottawa, entering the Kingston Sub on the south track, and dropping the conductor by the signal mast. While the conductor removed the end-of-train device, the south track signal changed to a yellow light providing clearance to slowly reverse into the main yard. On this busy day, we saw 7 CN freight trains and 8 VIA Rail passenger trains in addition to the Coteau yard crew switching around the station… all within the span of 6 hours!
