CIMB Artober 2021 l Rimbun Dahan Artist Residency (Part I)

CIMB Artober invites viewers to explore the tranquil art sanctuary of Rimbun Dahan with the ‘Art Living by CIMB, 2021’ series, providing an intimate peek into the largest and oldest private art residency centres in Southeast Asia. Rimbun Dahan is the home of architect Hijjas Kasturi and his wife Angela. Set on fourteen acres outside Kuala Lumpur, the compound of Rimbun Dahan is a centre for developing traditional and contemporary art forms. Since 1994, over 100 artists in a variety of disciplines have lived and worked at Rimbun Dahan in residencies from 2 weeks to 12 months. Over 30 artists were in residence for a whole year, as part of the Malaysia-Australia Visual Artist Residency (now called the Yearlong Visual Artist Residency).
