How to control fruit fly from Vegetable in case of severe attack || Crop Reformer

Different species of fruit fly Bactrocera cucurbitae is the most important insect of bitter gourd. In this video, we have suggested the how to manage fruit fly in the bitter gourd in Punjab. Fruit fly is a very tricky insect and very difficult to control fully worldwide. It can not be managed fully through a single pesticide or management practice. Multi dimentional integrated approach of fruit fly management in bitter gourd has been discussed in this video clip. Guava (Psidium guajava) is a very important fruit of Pakistan. It is considered as the most susceptible fruit and cherished host of fruit fly (Bactrocera dorsalis and Bactrocera zonatus species). In summer crop, its attack is so aggravated that it is not controlled through any technique and many farmers prefer to skip and arrange manually dropping of the fruit of this season crop. It can not be managed through a single approach. In this video we have advised the farmers to manage balanced nutrition for the guava garden. Induction of excessive amount of Potash plus Sulphur during the months of May to July leads to lesser attack of fruit fly. In addition to trapes and baits, we have also suggested the tank mixed spray of malation @ 500 ml plus trichlorfon @ 250 gram per acre per 100 liters of water. A table of comparative activity of different products has also been conveyed to the farmers for the selection of proper insecticide. #fruitfly #pesticide #cropreformer
