Flora Band | Road to WMC 2026 | Marching Programme

Tijdens de openbare uitzwaairepetitie op donderdag 9 juli presenteerde de Flora Band voor het eerst haar complete marsprogramma voor het Wereld Muziek Concours (WMC) aan het publiek. Nog één keer thuis, voordat het orkest afreist naar Kerkrade om Nederland te vertegenwoordigen op het hoogste podium voor de mars- en showwereld. Het marsprogramma bestaat uit drie contrasterende marsen: Egyptian March van Johann Strauss II, CMS March van Corsin Tuor en The Chase van Yan Frenkel. Iedere mars heeft een eigen karakter. De mysterieuze en statige klanken van Egyptian March vormen de opening, waarna CMS March volgt met zijn traditionele Britse marsstijl. Het programma eindigt met The Chase, een energieke en virtuoze mars waarin het hoge tempo en de krachtige motieven zorgen voor een spectaculaire afsluiting. === During the public farewell rehearsal on Thursday, July 9, Flora Band presented its complete marching programme to the audience for the very first time. One final performance on home soil before travelling to Kerkrade to represent the Netherlands at the World Music Contest (WMC). The marching programme features three contrasting marches: Egyptian March by Johann Strauss II, CMS March by Corsin Tuor and The Chase by Yan Frenkel. Each march has its own distinctive character. The programme opens with the stately and mysterious sounds of Egyptian March, followed by the traditional British style of CMS March. It concludes with The Chase, an energetic and virtuosic finale in which the fast pace and powerful musical motifs create a thrilling ending.
