RCA RP3503 / RP3504 last new cassette recorder

The RCA RP3504 is the last new shoebox-style cassette recorder you can buy in stores today. (The RP3503 I show here appears to be identical.) It comes with an external microphone, which is good because the built-in microphone is very weak and noisy. Despite being DC bias it doesn't splatter the S's, and it can record music acceptably well, but the sound is tinny both through the built-in speaker and through the headphone output. These recorders were also previously sold under the GE brand.
