The large traditional homes of the Zhuang ethnic group are located in Guangxi Province, southern China. These homes, designated as part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, are scattered around the capital, Nanning, and have long coexisted with the Han Chinese. These are the homes of Tai dynasties, and the time has come for their transition. Modern Zhuang people in big cities live like Han Chinese, inextricably blended. They live in the same cities, in the same buildings, sometimes even under the same roof. Intermarriage between Zhuang and Han Chinese is also commonplace. They wear modern clothes, speak the same Chinese, but deep down, they retain the traditions taught by their ancestors. They return to their hometowns to visit relatives and learn about the Zhuang way of life. They are always aware that they are Zhuang by blood and spirit, dedicated to ancestral worship and spirit veneration.
