Brandon is diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. His daughter, Kye, helps him understand when he is hallucinating. The two know there is a genetic component to schizophrenia and are trying to reduce Kye’s chance of inheriting this mental disorder. Together they have found that even if life isn’t perfect, it is still worth living.
