Fred Musa : "J'ai été placé sous protection policière"

Since 1996, Fred Musa has been the iconic voice of the radio show Planète Rap. In this new episode of Transmission, he looks back on his childhood in La Courneuve, his radio dreams since the age of 8, his beginnings at Voltage FM at 15, waiting around to land an internship, his passion and hard work, culminating in the trust of a program director who entrusted him with Planète Rap in 1996. Thirty years later, Fred Musa is still the soundtrack for millions of listeners. He tells us about the different generations of artists who have spoken behind his microphone, from IAM to JUL, including Diam's. He also reveals, for the first time, that he was placed under police protection in 2016. He discusses the threats, the attacks, and how he learned to cope despite everything. We'll talk about his daughter and what they teach each other. But also social mobility, culture, education, and the importance of passing on knowledge at all costs, in schools as well as in prisons. And then there was love, rediscovered in his fifties after falling head over heels for Valentine, twenty years his junior. This led to his first (and last) marriage. This is the portrait of a passionate, curious, open-minded, and utterly hopeless romantic!
