Among the first generation of Lebanese concert pianists to establish international careers, she contributed significantly to the development of piano performance and pedagogy in Lebanon during the second half of the twentieth century. She studied with Tina MANTEUFEL, Chaké CARACACHE , Arkadie KOUGUELL, Alexis BOUTROS, Bertrand ROBILLIARD, Michel BOURGEOT, Micheline OSTERMEYER and Jeanne-Marie DARRÉ, and received the Premier Prix and Diplôme d'Honneur of the Académie de musique de Nice, France. In 1963, she represented Lebanon at the Leeds International Piano Competition. After concert appearances throughout the Middle East and Europe, she settled in Beirut, where she pursued careers as a performer and teacher. From 1963 to 1996, she taught piano at the National Higher Conservatory of Music, and played a significant role in establishing works by twentieth century composers as an integral part of the piano repertoire, while remaining active as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral pianist with the Conservatory Orchestra under Raif ABILLAMA.
