Three Days of Hoof Trimming Sheep. The last step in preparing the next lambing group due in December! After shearing, we hoof trim and give a very important vaccination that protects the lambs from Clostridial disease as the ewe transfers her immunity to her lambs through her milk. The job is pretty stress-free, but we often get those ewes who 'think' they're stuck in the trim chute and take a lot of persuasion to exit the machine. Of course, we found one in this group. Three days was a big pull.
