ANOVA mit geplanten Kontrasten - Daten analysieren in SPSS (128)
// ANOVA with Planned Contrasts // Following a significant ANOVA, the question arises as to which groups differ. If no assumptions are made, post-hoc tests are performed. However, if there are assumptions about which groups exhibit higher/lower values, planned contrasts can be defined in advance. Specifically, this usually looks like this: a difference is suspected between the intervention group(s) and the control group—following the motto: the main thing is an intervention. In the specific example, a group of untrained individuals (=control group) is likely to have a different resting heart rate compared to the two intervention groups (moderately and highly trained). This scenario is the first contrast, for which coefficients must be defined. Here, it is important that the sum of the coefficients is always 0, which I demonstrate in detail in the video. The second contrast compares the two intervention groups because the more highly trained group is assumed to have a lower resting heart rate than the moderately trained group. The control group no longer plays a role in this comparison. For questions and suggestions about ANOVA with planned contrasts, please use the comment section.
