Restoring a classic that appeared in a Bond movie. Philips Antoinette 22RL798. Part 1

I have long lusted for this radio, a Philips 22RL798 Antoinette Transworld de Luxe, but the prices they fetch on the auction market are generally quite steep. However, good things come to those who wait, and it was my turn to get lucky... and with a Bond Girl, no less! This model has become very sought-after due to the fact that one appeared in a James Bond movie (Diamonds Are Forever) in 1971. I don't know if it is that special, or if the quality lives up to the hype, but I'm anxious to find out. Stick around and decide for yourself. Enjoy the series.
