There are two main types of hearing aids, as well as various technologies and price ranges. In Germany, statutory and private health insurance companies subsidize hearing aids. Therefore, it's possible to obtain a hearing aid for as little as €0, with a co-payment of up to €3,000. The basic class offers digital sound processing with reliable technology for improved everyday hearing. The mid-range class, with its multiple channels, provides a natural sound experience. Hearing aids in this price range are also equipped with comfort features. The premium class, with its many features, offers the highest level of listening comfort. Small or large? Thanks to the latest microtechnology, every hearing aid design is now small and discreet. There are two main types: behind-the-ear (BTE) and in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids. The advantages of an ITE hearing aid are that it disappears completely into the ear canal, making it very discreet and inconspicuous. A potential disadvantage is the feeling of a blockage in the ear. Additionally, it's important to note that they are very small, which can make them a bit tricky to insert. Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids are known for their high level of comfort. Because only the small receiver sits in the ear canal with BTE hearing aids, the ear canal remains open and ventilated. Rechargeable battery or disposable batteries? Rechargeable hearing aids have a wearing time of approximately 24 hours. They are fully recharged after 3-4 hours. Rechargeable hearing aids come in a storage case that also serves as a charging station. They are only slightly larger than battery-operated hearing aids. Battery-operated hearing aids are available in every model and style. Battery life depends on the style and wearing habits. The wearing time is approximately 4-10 days. App or remote control? The advantage of a remote control is that it can be purchased separately and connects to the hearing aid conveniently, independent of Bluetooth. Furthermore, you can use the remote control to adjust the volume, select programs, or simply turn your devices off. Each manufacturer offers a corresponding app for their hearing system. This allows you to customize settings to improve the sound of your hearing aids. Starting with the premium models, you also have the option of connecting to your smartphone via Bluetooth and making calls, listening to music, or using other streaming services through your hearing aids. Trial Wear We recommend a trial period of 3-7 days to determine if the hearing aid is a good acoustic fit for you. 🦻 More information: https://www.audibene.de/hoergeraete-k...
