How to Connect Power Platform Solutions to Git in Azure DevOps Step by Step
Learn Power Platform faster at Pragmatic Works with this special discount! Click here https://prag.works/PWT-affiliate-Vico... Or use our Promo Code (VicoPWTODL) In this video I show you step by step how to connect your Power Platform solutions to Git using Azure DevOps and start working with a more professional ALM process. You will see how to create the Azure DevOps organization, project, repository and branch, then connect a solution from Power Platform to source control the right way. I also explain why I recommend connecting by solution instead of environment, how the repository structure works, and how multiple makers can collaborate with commits, branches and version history. You will also see the first commit being pushed from Power Platform to Azure DevOps, and after that I demonstrate the reverse process by changing a Canvas App directly in the repo and pulling that update back into the solution. This makes it much easier to understand how source control becomes a bridge between Power Platform and Azure DevOps for real development scenarios. If you want better versioning, teamwork, safer deployments and more control over your Power Platform solutions, this setup is a huge step forward. I also leave an important warning in the video about managed environments and premium licensing, because connecting solutions to Git changes the environment requirements and this can impact your architecture and costs. So this is not just a cool integration, it is something you should implement the right way from the start.
