A Mente Simbólica e a Evolução da Criança

Human beings are three-membered "Imaginable Beings": they have a body, soul, and spirit. In the Greek Orthodox Catholic tradition, humans have two types of mind or faculties of knowledge: the Nous and the Dianoia. In the tradition of Sufi mysticism, especially in Rumi, humans have 12 faculties of knowledge. Rudolf Steiner, in Anthroposophy, teaches about the three-membered nature of the soul (according to Plato) in the education and evolution of children and adults. Modern education has completely eliminated this essential complexity of the human being; they are only body, devoid of a transcendent counterpart. This rupture, which is also a mistake, has caused many of the evils of the modern world.
