Carla Thomas - Gee Whiz (Dan's 2025 Stereo Mix)

Recorded in August of 1960 for Satellite Records of Memphis (later to be Stax), and released nationally by Atlantic Records. This is probably Thomas' signature song, or at least one of them, and it has not seen a stereo mix, as the Satellite/Stax studio in Memphis was recording direct to mono until 1965, when Atlantic Records built the studio a custom board and installed a 4-track machine. Here, I have attempted to give this recording at least a 3-track style mix with a centered vocal. Hope you enjoy!
