Listen to my plea, O beloved Master; I sacrifice everything to you – do not delay! Food does not appeal to me and sleep eludes me; the pangs of separation cause me relentless agony. I am tormented in countless ways and cannot live without seeing you. My body burns and my entire being is in agony; how can I endure this painful suffering? A constant stream of tears flows from my eyes; day and night, I gaze your way, awaiting your arrival. Forgive my sins and transgressions and do not consider my faults. O redeemer of the fallen, uphold your intrinsic nature; do not forget your promise. Nothing in hearth and home interests me. I have become like a stone and cannot move. Brimming with tears, my eyes constantly seek you; do not let me stop loving you even for a moment. Give me your hand, O liberator of captives, and this time rescue me from bondage. Just as a fish dies without water – without you, my body writhes in pain. Kabir, your slave, offers this supplication: Almighty Lord, have mercy on me and bless me with your darshan, consider me as your very own. Grant me your darshan, O lover of Nam.
