'Through Their Eyes' Children’s Voices on Dyslexia in School.

Making the Invisible Visible | Real Voices of Dyslexia At 1 in 10 Dyslexia, a UK non-profit dedicated to transforming support in primary schools, we believe the most powerful insights come from the people living it. This short documentary brings together real voices of children with dyslexia, speaking in their own words about their experiences at school — the challenges they face, the misunderstandings, and what truly helps. Too often, dyslexia is invisible in the classroom. These voices make it visible. Up to 80% of children with dyslexia leave school without a formal diagnosis, meaning their needs are never properly identified or supported. Around 50% of UK prison population are dyslexic, highlighting the consequences of missed support early in life. On the contrary, 40% of self-made millionaires report being dyslexic, underlining that dyslexia is not a lack of intelligence but a difference in how the brain processes information.
