Police: Body found in Independence home believed to be suspect in Kansas City highway shootings
A weeklong manhunt for a man accused of carrying out several shootings in Kansas City may be over. Kansas City police said Wednesday family members found a deceased person inside the burned Independence home connected to the investigation. Sgt. Jake Becchina, a spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department, said detectives are working "under the assumption" the body is that of 22-year-old Oscar Sanchez-Munoz.
