Album Review | States & Kingdoms XTC Drums and Wires [1979] There isn't much that we haven't already said about XTC. One of the greatest bands ever, definitely the greatest English band of the 80s. Yes I said it! This is their 3rd studio album and some think it's a bit more "pop"-y although it still has the signature dissonance and noise that we all know and love from XTC. Featuring some of Colin Moulding's best songs, and of course amazing Andy Partridge songs, and notable for being their first album with Dave Gregory - everything great about XTC is right here. This is one of those great albums that would be the perfect introduction to XTC for someone who was not familiar with their music. It's one of our favorites! Hope you enjoy!
