Giuseppe Ungaretti, "Il porto sepolto", 1916 (da "L'allegria"): testo, analisi e commento

I've been asked why I never talk about Giuseppe Ungaretti (1888-1970) on my channel. That's not entirely true, because, if you look carefully, I dedicated an (old) video to him (   • Un "classico" in tre minuti : Giuseppe Ung...  ) and one of my shorts (   • Aforismi - Episodio 36 : Giuseppe Ungarett...  ). But the observation is valid: I've talked about him too little. So let's start making up for that with today's video, in which I present a short poetic text of his, the lyric "Il porto sepolto," composed on June 29, 1916, which gave its title to his first collection of poems.
