What does it really mean to be a Christian leader? Power or responsibility? Control or trust? Success or sacrifice? The ARCA Conference in Bucharest, Dec. 3, 2025, through the words of Father Nicolae Dima, brought a moment of deep reflection on the Christian leader and how performance, responsibility and success can be experienced without losing the relationship with God. Starting from the words of the Savior (“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve”), Father Dima describes the image of the inverted pyramid: the leader remains at the top, but not to exercise power, but to bear responsibility for those below. Christian authority is assumption and sacrifice. This is not just a conference on leadership. It is a meditation on obedience, sacrifice, discernment, weakness and Grace. The Christian leader, says the Father, does not run away from performance and does not despise prosperity, but learns not to attach his heart to them. He gives up the illusion of absolute control, assumes responsibility to the end, accepts weakness as a place of God's work and multiplies his talents without turning them into an idol. True performance is not accumulation, but fruitfulness in Grace; it is not domination, but service; it is not blind competition, but discernment and love. The spiritual man is the one who sees worldly realities - money, power, strategy, success - and treats them spiritually, without losing his soul while building his world. The Christian leader: • gives up control, • assumes responsibility, • accepts weakness, • multiplies talents without idolatry, • lives in love and discernment, • remains steadfast and disciplined.
