ЧТО СКРЫВАЛ ПОЖЕЛТЕВШИЙ ЛАК? Что я нашел под слоем копоти?

Welcome to my workshop! Today, on our restoration table, we have a remarkable witness to history—a painting that turned exactly 140 years old this year. 🖼️ In this video, I'll show you the process of saving a work by the outstanding Italian master of genre painting, Ermenegildo Danti (1851–1899). The painting dates from 1884, the period when the artist's talent flourished. About the artist: H. Danti was renowned for his exquisitely detailed everyday scenes. He was a genius of light and texture. See how masterfully he conveyed the atmosphere of a conversation between a monk and a layman: we literally feel the warmth of the fireplace and the scent of old wine. But over the course of a century and a half, time has left its mark on this masterpiece... What was done: The painting arrived to me in a poor state: the varnish had oxidized and turned into a thick, "tea" veil that had "eaten away" all the depth and original coloring. 🌫️☕️ In this episode, you will see: How chemical tests are performed on authentic 19th-century paintings. The moment the original layer is "revealed": how old varnish gives way to true light. Cleaning the smallest details: the faces of the characters, the texture of clothing, and interior elements. The result of my many hours of work is the restoration of the painting to its original appearance. Restoration is more than just cleaning; it is a dialogue with the master across the centuries. And today, together, we will restore the voice of Ermenegildo Danti. ✨🖌️ If you need restoration, message me on Telegram - https://t.me/ivanrestorer Music - Sunset Chill Vibes, Ausku Studio If you want to see light emerge from darkened canvases, subscribe!
