Nissan Micra First Drive: As Good As It Looks?

The Nissan Micra has never really looked exciting, and you get a sense it's the sort of car that little ol' Doris would use to get some food for the cat. The new model however...that looks to be quite something. The cute, inoffensive looks have been traded in for something more dynamic and striking, but does it drive as good as it looks? Well I had a quick spin to find out. This model is the range-topping Tekna model , priced from £17,435, which includes features such as 17" alloys, 7" touchscreen with DAB, Bluetooth, smartphone connectivity and sat nav, plus you also get rear view camera with parking sensors, climate control, cruise control and a BOSE Personal sound system to name a few. Powering this Micra is a turbocharged three-cylinder 0.9 litre petrol unit which produces 89bhp with 140Nm of torque. It's mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and will help the car reach 62mph in 12.1 seconds with a top speed of 109mph.
