In Japan, engaging in group activities from a young age encourages people to work together as a unit. Teamwork is also easily fostered. As I mentioned in the video, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, even without the government enacting new laws, "self-restraint police" and other such forces naturally emerged, and the people somehow came together. Collectivism is amazing. I struggled to adapt to Japan, but since coming to Mexico, I've received many compliments for being able to clearly say "no" and express my opinions. I want to raise my future children in a culture where individuality is more accepted. I don't want to change others or change Japan, so I simply moved to a country that suits me.
