Their sound is characterized by the almost transparently clear voice of Emi Ohki (vocals/bass) floating above the technical instrumentation of Daijiro Nakagawa (guitar), and Yuto Sakai (drums). The group made their recording debut in October 2013 with the mini album Somaru Oto o Kakunin Shitara. They impressed a lot of listeners with a unique perspective that sublimates post-rock into a more pop style, and their release-time event was enthusiastically greeted. This leads to a sharp rise in offers from overseas labels and requests to appear in events around the world. After participating in a Canadian tour in May 2014, where they played at three venues, Uchu Conbini is now widely expected to expand their activities and achieve further successes internationally.
