Guide to walking the Danelaw Way Leg 4- Ropsley to Castle Bytham

The 60 mile Danelaw Way links Lincoln with Stamford, two of the five 'burghs' of the ancient Danelaw. Devised by the Lincolnshire Ramblers group, I follow their guide, accompanied by my young spaniel Danny (aka Daniel the Spaniel). Forget any thoughts that Lincolnshire might be flat and boring as we show you the trail taking in Roman history, scheduled woodlands, quiet lanes and open farmland. I split my walk into 5 consecutive days and passed plenty of charming villages that give the walker the chance to refuel or stay overnight. Leg 4 is the penultimate leg, continuing from the village of Ropsley heading through ancient woodland and across farmland via Corby Glen and ending the day in Castle Bytham, a total of 20.7km (12.8 miles) You can download the GPX file of the route from Komoot https://www.komoot.com/tour/286278839... #dogwalk #spaniel #lincolnshire
