First Impressions of Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦Riyadh is NOT what we expected

This is our very first time in this incredible country and we can't wait to share our experiences with you. We enter with a pretty rocky start as our hotel unfortunately cancels our booking after our flight lands into Riyadh airport later than expected. This left us stranded in the capital city with NO ACCOMODATION. Luckily we met an incredible taxi driver who helps us out and secures us a hotel in the early hours of the morning. This immediately showed us what an incredibly warm place Saudi Arabia was going to be. The next morning we head for some authentic Saudi food at a busy local spot called Alafrah restaurant. We meet one of the owners who lets us know what the best food options are before a random member of the public pays for our bill before our food has even arrived! True hospitality! We then get an incredible opportunity to check out the kitchen before moving on to the KAFD. We wander around the King Abdullah Financial District before catching the new $25 Billion metro network to the Kingdom tower to watch the sunset. Finally we end with some more Saudi food where we eat Camel for the very first time at a local authentic restaurant called Najd Village.
