I was still a bit inexperienced at casting far, but I mastered it by watching videos of cast net experts and practicing what I learned from the members of the Korea Cast Net Association's Naver Band. The cast net I used is a light-weight lead cast net purchased from Marine Mart. It measures 16 rounds and weighs about 4.5 kg. I used a ring-hook cast net before, and it weighed 6 kg, making it difficult to cast far. So, I decided to get one. Lead cast nets are certainly lightweight and good, but I think the control method is a bit different from that of a ring cast net. If you watch the videos carefully and follow along, you too can become an expert.
