After his older brother, Itachi, slaughtered their clan, Sasuke made it his mission in life to avenge them by killing Itachi. He is added to Team 7 upon becoming a Shinobi, and, through competition with his rival and best friend, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke starts developing his skills but eventually grows dissatisfied with his progress. He defects from Konoha so that he can acquire the strength needed to exact his revenge and master the Cursed Seal of Heaven. His years of seeking vengeance and the actions that followed became increasingly demanding, irrational, and isolated from others, leading him to be branded as an international criminal. After learning the truth of his brother's sacrifice, later proving instrumental in ending the Fourth Shinobi World War, and being happily redeemed by Naruto, Sasuke decides to return to Konoha and dedicate his life to help protect the village and its inhabitants, becoming referred to as the "Supporting Kage" (支う影, Sasaukage, literally meaning: Supporting Shadow). Naruto[e] is a Japanese anime television series based on Masashi Kishimoto's manga series of the same name. The story follows Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. Just like the manga, the anime series is divided into two separate parts: the first series retains the original manga's title and is set in Naruto's pre-teen years. The second series, a direct sequel titled Naruto: Shippuden,[f] takes place during his teens. Both anime series were animated by Pierrot, produced by Aniplex and licensed in North America by Viz Media. Naruto[a] is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. The story is told in two parts: the first is set in Naruto's pre-teen years (volumes 1–27), and the second in his teens (volumes 28–72). The series is based on two one-shot manga by Kishimoto: Karakuri (1995), which earned Kishimoto an honorable mention in Shueisha's monthly Hop Step Award the following year, and Naruto (1997). Naruto: Shippuden is an anime television series mainly adapted from Part II of Masashi Kishimoto's original Naruto manga series, with exactly 500 episodes. It is set two and a half years after the original series in the Naruto universe, following the teenage ninja Naruto Uzumaki and his allies. The series is directed by Hayato Date, and produced by Pierrot and TV Tokyo. It began broadcasting on February 15, 2007, on TV Tokyo, and concluded on March 23, 2017.[1][2] Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (BORUTO ボルト -NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS-, Boruto: Naruto Nekusuto Jenerēshonzu) was a monthly manga spin-off series within the Naruto franchise.[1] The first 51 chapters of the series were written by Ukyō Kodachi, with the author of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, acting as supervisor. Beginning with chapter 52 - released in November 2020 - Kodachi left the series while Mikio Ikemoto took over writing duties, following Kishimoto's drafts. Ikemoto also illustrated the manga throughout its run. The series adapts the story-line of Boruto: Naruto the Movie and then continues the story afterward. The manga launched on May 9, 2016, in the 23rd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump, and is simultaneously published in Weekly Shōnen Jump digital magazine in English. The serialisation of the manga was transferred to V Jump in July 2019. © WE BLESSED FOREVER ENTERTAINMENT, LLC. ℗ WE BLESSED FOREVER ENTERTAINMENT, LLC.
