Piccolo Master Talk is a series of short interviews with outstanding Eb clarinet players from around the world, sharing their inspirations and perspectives on the piccolo clarinet. The series is part of PICCOLO RE:VISION, a project dedicated to promoting music and performance on the Eb clarinet. Episode #7 features Javier Llopis (Spain), one of the world's leading E-flat clarinet specialists, internationally acclaimed soloist, professor at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Tenerife and piccolo clarinetist in the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra. He is the founder of the Piccolo Clarinet International Academy and artistic director of the Tenerife Clarinet Fest. He has made a major contribution to the development of the E-flat clarinet through repertoire, performance, education and instrument innovations.
