Asami Takei – Piano Programme Haydn / Piano Sonata Hob. XVI34 Presto Adagio Vivace Granados / Danza Espanola No.2, 5 Albeniz / Evocacion, El Puelto Mompou / Songs and Dances No.1, 6, 8 Lecuona / Suite Espanol No.4, 6 Born in Yokohama in Japan, Asami Takei began studying the piano at age four with her mother and started lessons with local teacher Noriko Yokoi at age six. A chemist and application engineer, Asami holds an MSc in chemistry from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Asami has participated in summer seminars at Musashino Academia Musicae with artist Prof. Noriko Manzai and graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire in 2023 with a professional diploma, having studied under Elena Rui and Alexander Adakove.
