Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned these three vessels at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, highlighting India’s growing focus on Aatmanirbhar Bharat in the defence sector. The three ships represent three important dimensions of naval capability. INS Dunagiri is an advanced stealth frigate equipped for multi-dimensional maritime combat. INS Sanshodhak is a Survey Vessel Large, designed for coastal and deep-water hydrographic surveys and oceanographic data collection. INS Agray is an Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, built to detect and counter underwater threats in littoral waters.
