Is GRAN CLASS worth it on the Shinkansen / Bullet Train in Japan?

Gran Class is first class on the shinkansen in Japan - a truly luxurious experience. But is it worth upgrading? ✨ Get my Japan guide book (worldwide shipping): https://cakeswithfaces.co.uk/product/... I tried Gran Class on the bullet train in Japan, going from Nagano to Tokyo Station on the Hokuriku shinkansen. Here's my review, including how to buy tickets, prices, boarding the train and whether it's worth the money. Gran Class is a level above the Green Car. It's only available on the Hokuriku, Joetsu and Tohoku Shinkansen lines. It has ultra-comfortable, reclining seats with lots of space, and a dedicated member of staff to serve you drinks and a special bento box. If you take the train from Tokyo Station, you also get access to the View Gold Lounge, with free drinks and snacks for 90 minutes before your train. It was a real treat to try Gran Class, and definitely ticked an item off my Japan bucket list! 00:00 Hanging out in Nagano 02:49 Finding the platform 05:09 On the train 06:45 Review 07:55 Lounge 08:36 Which lines have Gran Class 09:01 How to book tickets ▶️ SUBSCRIBE for Japan travel videos every Thursday. 🌈 CAKES WITH FACES SHOP (worldwide shipping): https://www.cakeswithfaces.co.uk ✨ FOLLOW CAKES WITH FACES:   / cakeswithfaces   https://bsky.app/profile/cakeswithfac... https://www.threads.net/@cakeswithfaces   / cakeswithfaces   #shinkansen #bullettrain #japanesetrains #japan
